Thanks for your bravery with this story. And doing this follow up article to the "apology" you had received from your co-worker. I think many in your shoes would have not, or would have felt like they had to accept whatever apology they received as valid. Many people , especially gaslighters, do not know how to apologize OR give a faux apology so they don't have to take accountability. Sometimes people don't realize that apologies become more genuine when there is accountability and even dialogue. I think especially during this time (when the blacklivesmatter movement has had resurgence) there are plenty of people and companies that are saying they are going to do better but the true accountability is harder to come by and will be shown in time.
